Code of Conduct

Last updated: April 10, 2026

1. Introduction

Humanae ("Humanae," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to fostering respectful, safe, and inclusive experiences across our websites, applications, and community spaces (collectively, the "Service"). This Code of Conduct ("Code") describes the behavior we expect from everyone who uses the Service, including when attending events, participating in clubs, messaging other members, or interacting with our team. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in our Terms and Conditions.

By using the Service, you agree to follow this Code in addition to our Terms and Privacy Policy. We may update this Code from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.

2. Our commitment

We welcome professionals from diverse backgrounds and aim to create environments where people can connect authentically without harassment, discrimination, or intimidation. We take reports seriously and may take action—including warnings, suspension, or termination of accounts—when this Code or our Terms are violated.

3. Expected behavior

We ask everyone using the Service to:

  • Treat others with respect, courtesy, and professionalism, including in messages, comments, profiles, and event or club spaces.
  • Respect boundaries; accept "no" and disengage when someone does not wish to interact.
  • Use accurate information in your profile and communications, and honor commitments you make to hosts, clubs, and other members when reasonably expected.
  • Follow applicable laws, venue rules, and any reasonable instructions from hosts or organizers for events you attend.
  • Help keep the community safe by reporting concerns through the channels described below.

4. Unacceptable behavior

The following behaviors are not permitted on or through the Service:

  • Harassment, bullying, stalking, threats, or intimidation of any kind.
  • Discrimination or slurs based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or other protected characteristics.
  • Sexual harassment or unwelcome sexual attention, including inappropriate comments, imagery, or conduct.
  • Violence or credible threats of violence, or encouraging others to harm themselves or others.
  • Doxxing, sharing private information of others without permission, or misuse of personal data.
  • Fraud, impersonation, spam, scams, or deceptive practices.
  • Hate speech, extremist content, or content that incites hatred or violence.
  • Non-consensual recording or photography where prohibited by law, venue policy, or reasonable expectation of privacy.

This list is illustrative, not exhaustive. We may address other conduct that we reasonably believe harms users, our community, or the integrity of the Service.

5. Events, clubs, and in-person gatherings

Many experiences on Humanae involve in-person or live interactions. Hosts and club leaders may set additional expectations for their spaces; participants should follow those expectations when they do not conflict with law or this Code.

6. Reporting

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code, we encourage you to report it promptly. You may contact us through our Contact page or use resources listed in our Help Center where available. Include relevant details (what happened, when, where, and who was involved) so we can review fairly. We will not retaliate against good-faith reports; knowingly false reports may violate our Terms.

7. Enforcement

We may investigate reports and take action we deem appropriate, including warnings, content removal, suspension, or permanent account closure. Serious violations may result in immediate termination. Enforcement is described further in our Terms; nothing in this Code limits remedies available to us under those Terms or applicable law.

8. Updates

We may revise this Code to reflect changes to our Service, community standards, or legal requirements. We will update the "Last updated" date when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Code to the extent permitted by law.

9. Contact
